Anderson & House, Inc. has been working with OKC Electrical Contractors, Inc. since their inception in 1976. I recently, (October 9, 2008), completed work on a $19,000,000+ health clinic in western Oklahoma for which OKC Electric was the electrical contractor. It was a design/build project, which meant that throughout the design process, the subcontractors had to stay actively involved to ensure that the project stayed within budget but still meet all the requirements of the project.
Mr. David DeGeare, Vice President of OKC Electric, was our main point of contact. Mr. DeGeare was always available to meet with engineers and architects to answer questions and to make suggestions to keep the project in budget. During the construction phase of the project, there were no major electrical issues that would require change orders. This was due largely in part to Mr. DeGeare's up front involvement with the project. Unlike many contractors I have worked with before, OKC did not actively pursue change orders, but rather were most concerned about making sure the final product was as good as possible for the end user. OKC has been back to the project several times since completion to perform work that was technically not warranty work. OKC performed this work at no additional cost in order make sure that the building user was satisfied.
I am currently beginning a second project with OKC Electric. SGS actively seeks to contract with OKC Electric whenever possible and have hired OKC Electric on several occasions to perform electrical work in our own office building. OKC Electric has even done electrical work on my personal house. I would strongly recommend David DeGeare and OKC Electric for any project they choose to pursue.
